EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) - The Edmonton Oilers defeated the Calgary Flames 3-1 in a Battle of Alberta clash on Hockey Night in Canada, moving one step closer to sweeping their playoff series.

Stuart Skinner made 26 saves for the Oilers, while Sam Gagner scored the game-winning goal in the third period. Leon Draisaitl and Zach Hyman also tallied for Edmonton.

The Flames, who trail 3-1 in the best-of-seven series, were led by Elias Lindholm's lone goal. Jacob Markstrom allowed three goals on 29 shots.

The Oilers can clinch the series and advance to the second round with a victory in Calgary on Monday.
